The membership of Kahal Kados Talmud Tora

The membership of the Kahal Kados Talmud Tora, the Portuguese-Israelite Community, is open to anyone who is Jewish according to Jewish law.

Fintas

The General Members’ Meeting adopted a new fintas system in December 2013. In short, this comes down to the following:

Fintas is imposed per head of the household, regardless of the family composition. If someone wishes to become a member and has not accrued burial rights, a buy-in fee must be paid.
An objection to the annual assessment can be submitted to the Commissie van Zetters if it can be demonstrated that the contribution cannot be met.

A foreign member residing abroad pays 300.00 euros per year.
A member older than 90 years and who has been a member for more than 40 years is exempt from the annual fintas contribution.
Each member pays 90.00 euros for burial rights per year and accumulates burial rights over 40 years to be buried at Beth Haim in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.
